PETSITTER
A mobile app that helps pet owners find trusted carers for walks, feeding, and short stays
Product • B2C • Pet owners + Carers • Concept

Overview
Petsitter is an app that connects pet owners in need of assistance with caring for their pets and individuals looking to earn a living by providing pet care services. The system allows pet owners to find suitable matches from a large database within seconds, using an algorithm that identifies the best options for their specific needs.
The Solution
A platform that maintains a database of trusted caregivers for all types of pets, making it easy for owners to find regular or one-time help. By matching owners with carers who fit their needs, it streamlines coordination, reduces stress, and saves time.
The Problem
Many pet owners rely on family, friends, or independent caregivers when they can’t care for their pets. But this help is often occasional and inconsistent, so cancellations force owners to scramble for last-minute alternatives and disrupt their pet care routine.

During the registration process, users are asked to provide key details about their pet to ensure an accurate match with the most suitable carer. The information includes the pet’s type, breed, gender, weight, age, as well as its likes and dislikes. These details help create a personalized and reliable care experience tailored to each pet’s unique needs.
Time – the user selects the preferred hour for the caregiver to arrive.

After completing the search, users are presented with a curated list of carers matched to their specific needs. To refine the results, they can simply use the filter button, allowing them to sort by price, distance, and rating for a more convenient and confident choice.
Date – based on the selected frequency, the user chooses the exact date when the pet care service is needed.

Frequency – defines how often the pet owner needs the service (one-time, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly)

Activity Type – the user selects the type of service their pet needs, such as walking, sitting, feeding, or playtime

Pet Type – the user selects which pet they need care for, such as a dog, cat, or other animals.

When a user finds a carer that interests them, they can open the carer’s profile to view reviews from other pet owners who have already used their services. This transparency helps users make informed decisions with confidence.
After selecting a carer, the pet owner can start a conversation through the in-app chat. All messages are saved in the Inbox, allowing the owner to easily return and stay updated on their pet’s well-being through text, photos, or even live video calls.
The app also includes favorites and a history of previous carers, making it easy for pet owners to reconnect with past carers or save those they particularly liked for future bookings
